MUSICA NECESSARIA
Period of activity: 2019-present
Formation: Chamber music and vocal ensemble
Role: conductor and artistic director
Description: The ensemble MUSICA NECESSARIA, established in Rome in 2019 and currently directed by Francesco Leineri, is a group of musicians from various backgrounds with an extra-musical mindset. Reimagining the concept of “music for use" they see musical poetry as a simple and essential service capable of making sense in unusual contexts. Supporting interdisciplinary collaboration and always in dialogue with the stories of the world we live every day, they offer a musical narrative of reality and daily life: music that finds its only necessary boundary in real lived experience. As of today, the ensemble consists of a start-up of 15 musicians.
