Description: Roma Rainbow Choir is the official choir of Circolo di Cultura Omosessuale Mario Mieli, currently directed by Francesco Leineri. Proudly composed of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and heterosexual individuals, through music and song, they strive to spread a culture of respect for every form of love and self-determination: so that no one should ever feel threatened, ridiculed, discriminated against, or marginalized because of the need to express their human and emotional identity, or their uniqueness free from any discriminatory norm. Since 2014, they have actively participated in various Italian and European rainbow choir festivals such as Various Voices and Cromatica. They also performed in various initiatives such as Roma Pride, the procession for forgotten Genocides, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, World AIDS Day, and Transgender Day Of Remembrance.
