LA BESTIA DENTRO

Concept: LA BESTIA DENTRO is a chamber opera that tells a story of growth and desire. Teresa is a young woman who falls in love with a person who doesn't exist, a projection of her own inner impulses, of which she is both victim and perpetrator. She lives in a city where the sun no longer rises, populated by seemingly normal people: a seamstress, a cook, a florist. Like the protagonist, they too reveal their desires, intercepted and recognized in their various facets, positive and negative, authentic or obsessive, revealing an urgent need and impossibility to embrace life as it is. Pervaded by the emotionality of nothingness, in an empty space, they seek a star to turn their gaze towards.
